Yllab is affiliated to the Institute of Power Electronics, School of Electrical Engineering, Beijing Jiaotong University, and is dedicated to the research of rail transportation.
There are four teachers and thirty graduate students, including ten PhD candidates and twenty master degree candidates.
There are four rooms for us to do research, including room 609 and room 104 of electric engineering buildings, and underground C17 and A02 of yifu building, totally 200 square meters. In addition, relying on the Yangtze River Delta Research Institute of Beijing Jiaotong University (Zhenjiang, Jiangsu), we have built a new research center for rail traffic and electrician technology, covering an area of more than 550 square meters.
Our laboratory has a large number of experimental equipment, including 300kW PMSM traction drive system, 200kW super capacitor energy storage system, static and mobile wireless power transfer system, high-power converter experimental platform, linear motor control system, dSPACE and RTLAB hardware in the loop simulation platform, which provide a solid foundation and excellent environment for scientific research.
We mainly focus on the research filed of traction drive, energy saving, and wireless power transfer system.In recent years, the laboratory has undertaken a number of national and provincial-level projects such as national key research and development plans, national science and technology support plans, 973 projects, and 863 projects in the field of rail transit.
The lab has established long-term cooperative relations with many companies，including the CRRC Qingdao Sifang Co., Ltd, the the CRRC Qingdao Sifang Rolling Stock Reserch Institute Co., Ltd,, the Beijing Subway, the BEIJING URBAN ENGINEERING DESIGN & RESEARCH INSTITUTE CO.,LTD , the Maxwell Technologies, the Toshiba, the Fuji Electric, and the Nippon Chemi-Con Corporation, etc..
